Scott Shickler, CEO
Mr. Shickler has 12 years experience in starting, growing, acquiring, and selling education businesses. His businesses have generated over 20,000 paying school customers. Scott has authored 8 business books and is known for bringing business acumen and cutting-edge solutions to the education industry.
Mark Brown, CFO
Mr. Brown has over fifteen years of diverse financial experience and recently served as controller for a $200+ million dollar division of HP. He is a graduate of Notre Dame and received his MBA from Duke University.
Bob Read - Vice President,
Software DevelopmentMr. Read holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Mathematics from Colorado School of Mines and is co-founder of Horizon Software Systems Inc. He has over 20 years experience in the software development business. He has brought to Horizon the ability to make computer software extremely user friendly and easily adaptable to the market's changing needs. Bob's background includes:

Karen Martin - Vice President,
Sales and MarketingMs. Martin attended the University of Minnesota and has been involved in school-based software products since 1980. She has been responsible for the development and management of software support centers, district and statewide training programs, large account management, and corporate management/operations. Karen's background includes:
- Reunion Software Solutions - President and original founder prior to the merger of Reunion and Horizon in January 1998.
- CTB Macmillan/McGraw-Hill School Publishing Company - Denver office Director of Operations and national accounts manager from 1990 to 1993 Karen managed national accounts including South Carolina DOE, Georgia DOE, North Caroline DOE, Memphis, TN, and the Department of Defense Dependent Schools
- Tamarac Systems - Director of Customer Support and Training for the Osiris product from 1986 to 1990 managing the training and support center activities with the SC DOE statewide rollout for the Osiris? school administrative product.
Dan Herman - Vice President,
Software DevelopmentMr. Herman has more than 25 years of experience in computer systems development, management-information systems for education, and data processing. He has been directly responsible for all product development for the EXCENT® Tera line of products since its inception in 1986. He is currently the chief architect for the company's portfolio of next generation products that will meet the needs of the changing environment within the education marketplace. Over the years, Dan has formed strategic alliances with special education professionals and organizations in the US. These relationships have provided an invaluable understanding of the data requirements, practices and procedures required to successfully educate children with special needs.
David Larson, Ph.D. -
Education Management ConsultantDr. Larson holds a Ph.D. in School Administration from the University of Denver and has been a classroom teacher, principal, and district superintendent. He understands the record management needs of schools and has been involved for many years in the design of appropriate systems that meet an administrator's record management needs and has been directly involved in the design, marketing, and implementation of administrative software systems for school districts since 1980. David's background includes:

Dave Celecki - Vice President, Technology/Medicaid
Mr. Celecki is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Computer Science. He is a Certified Network Engineer (CNE) and uses his network experience to assist clients in optimizing their network environments. Dave is recognized as an industry leader in his knowledge of database systems and has experience developing school administrative systems for the school district office. Since 1989 Dave has specialized in software system design and consulting with a special emphasis in the development of database programs. He joined Horizon in January 1995. Dave's background includes work with many companies nationally:

Greg Chisholm - Vice President
Account Management/Client ServicesMr. Chisholm holds an A.A. in Computer Information Systems from Troy State University plus Accredited Computer Technician (ACT), A+, and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certifications. Greg has been with Horizon Software Systems, Inc. since July 2000. He has over ten years experience in the IT field as well as support and quality assurance. Greg's background includes:

Jeff Waller, Vice President,
Strategy and AlliancesMr. Waller is responsible for the execution of all business partnerships. This includes creation, finalization and implementation of terms and conditions transferred into binding agreements. Additionally, Jeff works in concert with our technology team to manage the necessary deployment and integration of technology. Jeff also provides ongoing strategic support and management to all GET partners, ensuring these relationships are properly maintained and grow.
Mitch Schlimer - Business Advisor
Mr. Schlimer began his career as one of the nation's youngest head tennis professionals at the age of 21. Mitch has had an entrepreneurial spirit from the very beginning as well as gift for recognizing market needs and developing innovative solutions to fill them. In 1985, Mitch saw a need in the marketplace for a full service marketing communications company, consultancy and video production division, specializing in entrepreneurial companies who were expanding through franchising. From 1985 to 1991 Impac International and Impac Productions was retained by such companies as Blockbuster Video, Dunkin Donuts and hundreds of others throughout the world.
In 1994 Mitch began hosting the national radio talk show-Let's Talk Business, completely dedicated to entrepreneurship, small business and franchising. The radio show has expanded into the Let's Talk Business Network which includes live events plus other programming dedicated to letting entrepreneurs learn from the journey of others.
